Cybersmart Reveiw

This year in Cybersmart we have been learning about so many tools and skills and even some mindset work when we are learning! 

Some of my favourite things that I've learned to do include Polyline, Font, Screencastify and many more things. 

Some of the things that have been the most challenging are Scratch, animation and more. 

One thing I wish we had learned about that we didn't was the bark app. 

One thing I wish we learned more about was scratch. 

When we made our review, I was thinking about making my own video because I was stressed but then I worked it out.

Kiwi 12 Days Of Christmas

I found it hard to come up with ideas for the different days of christmas, also I found it hard to work collaboratively with my cooperative group 

I found it easy to find the images and the creativity ideas for the slides. 

Next time I will try to calm myself to make it easier and stress free.

Misty's and Joelle's chores robot

We were learning about working as a team and learning how to work with robots and how they could control the future.
I found it easy to write the information.
I found it hard to draw the robot with the poly line.
I really enjoyed working with my best friend.
Next time I need to work just a bit faster.

We were learning about how to be cyber smart and kind on the internet.

I found it easy to restart my blog.

I found it hard to copy and paste.

I really enjoyed making a blog.

Next time I need to be more focused.

Btw this was made in 2019 and I forgot to post it but I posted it anyways because i'm on my way to getting 25 posts in 2020

 

My Digital Colouring

I found it hard to find the images and also I found it hard to find the website but my fellow buddy isobel helped me find it. 

I found it easy to colour my digital image in and put it onto a google slide. 

Next time I will try to read the instructions a bit better so I completely know what i'm doing throughout the lesson.

What Christmas Means To Me

I found it hard to come up with the right words to use for my paragraph to make my writing sound more fun and interesting. I also found it hard to make my creative slide. 

I found it easy to write everything down in the order I wanted it to go in. 

Next time I will brainstorm ideas to make writing my paragraph easier.

My Matariki art

We were learning about... Matariki and how the maori traditionally celebrated it, and how to teach others about it.

I found it easy to... Find the websites that showed you information about matariki. 

I found it challenging to ... write everything down into the slides.

Next time I will... work harder to try and achieve better.   

My Media Graphic

We were learning about how to tell if something is credible information or misleading information and to tell if something is fake or real. 

I found it hard to come up with my stems because that is something I usually struggle with to do. 

I found it easy to find the quote I was going to use for my media graphic, also I found it easy to find the images to match my quote. 

Next time I will work harder on my stems and my mahi to make it my best work.

Acrostic Poem-Sparklers

I found it easy to figure out what my main word was going to be, also it was pretty fun to watch all my teachers fire up some sparklers and give us some ideas on what we could put in our acrostic poems. 

I came up with Ideas like Musty smell, smoky, sparkly, noisy and alot more other things, but if I wrote about all of them my stems would go on forever. 

I found it hard to come up with words to match the starting letters because, the letters I hade were very difficult and weird letters for a poem. 

My stems were also pretty challenging to complete and I tried really hard on them and I think I did my best work on them.

Next time I could work harder on my words, what I mean by that is come up with more descriptive words so it makes my writing more interesting for the reader.

What Makes A Quality Recount

My buddy Maddy and I discussed 10 important ways to make our writing better and more interesting.

Here are the 10 things we brainstormed together...

• In your introduction it is important to answer the five w's who, what, where, when and why.
• Include your senses; See, Smell, Hear, Feel and Touch.
• Separate your brainstorming into different sections based on the topic of each paragraph.
• Make sure your recount is in the right order. 
• Maybe add a 1. 2. 3. planning so you remember what order your recount goes in.
• Add rich language.
• Make sure to incorporate feeling and emotion into your closing statement.
• Try use time connectives.
• Make sure to use correct punctuation.
• Use nouns.

My goal for this term is to use more scientific words, use rich language and not make my writing so long and to make it shorter with strong words.

Rangi And Papa E Book

I found it hard to figure out how to do papa's face on the title page. 

I found it easy to select the colour of items and skin colours on the title page.  

Next time I will work quicker to get it finished.

Is The Environment Our Responsibility

I found it easy to transfer my writing to the slides and come up with ways to draw the reader in. Something that helped me with drawing the reader in was finding images to make secret messages.

I found it hard to find the information to actually write my persuasive writing and to publish the information into my own words. 

Next time I will try and put the information into my on words and finish my work faster.

Scratch Ebook

Despite not knowing that much about scratch I surprised myself with the screencastify creation I made. Altho I sis struggle with recording my screencastify video I think I did a alright job. Next ime I think I should ask for help when I need it and I should give the other people in my cooperative grop have the oppertunity to be the leader in the group.I really enjoyed creating my slide in the Ebook slide show because I got to customise it however I liked. on the other hand I did struggle with making everything fit on to the page because the page was portrait. but i do think this was good practise and I hope I do better next time.

Hi my name is Joelle I'm 10 years old and I go to Awapuni school. I live with my mum Sapphire and my dad Sean and my three siblings, their names are Jordan, Caleb and Brooke. I was originally born in Wellington Lower Hutt and now I live in New Zealand My goal for this year is to Connect with different people at my school and work on my times tables and fractions. I am good at reading, writing and some math. I enjoy cyber smart lessons, art and hanging out with friends. My challenges are to move up a level in all my subjects and focus on the mat. I am looking forward to doing activities with the other student leaders and green team members. Somebody I look up to is my teachers because they have been able to get me out of my comfort zone and I secretly have been wanting to become someone like them one day. Something I am proud of on my blog is learning how to explain my learning with more descriptive words and making more interesting sentences.
